(Day 6) In Kushinagar

Then we visited to the Buddha Mahaparinirvana Chaitya in Kushinagar. The main shrine was Nirvana temple (at the back of Mahaparinirvana temple). We need to take off the shoes to enter the building and there were local people took care of your shoes with the small fees.

Here, you can see many angles of the Buddha maha parinibbhana posture statue. Actually offering is not allowed. Somehow we can offered the yellow robe to cover the statue. Many of us just offered the flowers , do chanting and circle the building 3 times to pay respect to the Great Teacher. Many of us also bought the gold leaf (very thin one) to stick on to the statue.

There were also some stupa ruins over there.

So meaningful if you concerntrated on the last events and also Buddha's last words before the lord Buddha entered parinibbhana. It's very touching. This is only the way for us to follow the Buddha's advice to attain the nibbhana too.
May all of us practise together towards the goal ! It's so bless........
